Small Group Coaching

The Emergence of the Kaleidoscopic Self

  Collaboration and Connection

My approach is based on experiential learning through guided practices, sharing insights, and receiving growth-focused coaching and feedback.  Interweaving deep perceptive awareness with the cognitive mind can facilitate the emergence of an authentic self through layers of patriarchal conditioning.  You will have the opportunity to identify areas that may need support and to learn skills meant to deepen the connection with authenticity, purpose, and prosperity.

Small Group Course Overview

At Novva Coaching, my goal is to empower women through a structured yet flexible coaching program designed to enhance essential competencies. My services include:

  • Weekly Online Sessions: Join a close-knit group of 6-9 women in nine 90-minute sessions conducted via Google Meets.

  • Guided Practice: Each session begins with a guided practice, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the week's focus area.

  • Targeted Competencies: Each week is dedicated to a specific competency, providing a comprehensive learning experience intended to nurture skill development.

  • Course Outline and Materials: Upon enrollment, participants receive a detailed course outline, along with a handout via email before some of the sessions, maximizing preparedness and engagement.

  • Approach: My approach is based on experiential learning through individual and group demonstrations of a targeted competency, while also cultivating a growth mindset and self-actualization.

The most difficult thing is the decision to act: the rest is merely tenacity.

  • Exploring Limiting Beliefs and Their Impact

Understanding the limiting beliefs that can shape our identity is crucial for unlocking our potential. These beliefs can distort our perception of ourselves and others, influencing the possibilities we see for our lives. Among these, three significant self-concepts often manifest: "I'm Not Enough," "I'm Invisible," and I'm Alone. Each of these beliefs can permeate various aspects of life, restricting personal growth and fulfillment.

    Limiting Self-Concepts

    1. I'm Not Enough
This belief fosters feelings of inadequacy, driving individuals to overwork or avoid challenges for fear of failure. It can impede career advancement and hinder personal relationships.

    2. I'm Invisible
Feeling overlooked can lead to withdrawal and a lack of participation in social environments. This belief often manifests in missed opportunities for connection and collaboration.

    3. I'm Alone
The sense of isolation can create barriers to seeking support and sharing experiences. This self-concept can lead to an exacerbation of loneliness, impacting mental health and overall well-being.

Several mechanisms perpetuate these self-concepts, often through recurring behavioral patterns:

    • Avoidance: Steering clear of situations that challenge self-perceptions.

    • Overcompensation: Engaging in excessive efforts to prove one's worth, leading to burnout.

    • Self-Sabotage: Undermining one's opportunities due to a lack of belief in deservedness.

    Guided Practice

By confronting and reframing limiting beliefs, individuals can begin to redefine their identity, enhance their perception of others, and expand the possibilities for their lives.

  • Power Statements and the Key Shift

In the journey toward self-discovery, our self-concept often becomes a barrier, limiting our growth and aspirations. This session introduces dynamic Power Statements designed to pierce through these self-imposed limitations, fostering direct engagement with your inner critic. By actively challenging your beliefs, you will learn to articulate statements that resonate with your true potential, enabling you to step beyond the confines of your current identity.

To effectively disrupt entrenched patterns, a pivotal shift in orientation is necessary. This Key Shift involves recognizing and redefining the stories you tell yourself. Embrace a mindset that welcomes growth, resilience, and the capacity to transform challenges into opportunities.

Coaching through real-life application is essential. In our interactive “power seat,” 1-2 volunteers from the group will engage in hands-on coaching, demonstrating how to navigate limiting beliefs through the power of effective questioning and reflective listening.

Key skills and capacities that will be cultivated in this session include:

    • Self-Awareness: Develop a keen understanding of the patterns that hold you back.

    • Empowerment: Learn to craft and internalize empowering narratives that inspire action.

    • Resilience: Build the capacity to bounce back from setbacks with renewed vigor.

    • Authenticity: Embrace your true self, free from societal expectations and limitations.

  • Strengths and Gifts

    • Explore individual strengths and unique gifts, fostering an environment for experiential amplification.

    • Understand the distinction between fixed mindsets and growth mindsets, emphasizing the ability to adapt and evolve.

    • Participate in a guided group exercise that focuses on mapping a personalized growth pathway.

    • Optionally engage in artistic expression (painting, writing, or vocal processing) to enhance integration of emotional insights gained from the experiences.
